Holly Pier Receives Penn State Funding for Spring Research

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has awarded Holly Pier, of Wattsburg, an undergraduate spring research fellowship. Pier, a senior, will study "Effects of Uropygial Gland Secretions on the Bacterial Diversity of House Wren Eggs". The work will be supervised by Beth Potter and Margaret Voss.

Penn State Behrend awarded 58 grants and nearly $59,000 to student researchers this spring. The college provides nearly $350,000 each year to support undergraduate research by its students.
