Kristan Russell Awarded Summer Funding for Undergraduate Research

Kristan Russell, of Harrisville, Pa., has been awarded a $2,400 Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship to conduct a group research project, titled "How Do We Know the Mean Girl? An Investigation of the Pragmatic Cues to Relational Aggression." Throughout the summer, Russell, a sophomore humanities and social sciences major, will work with Dr. Victoria Kazmerski, associate professor of psychology, and Dr. Dawn Blasko, associate professor of psychology.

This year, Penn State Behrend awarded 50 such grants, totaling $77,882, to 66 students. Annually Penn State Behrend provides nearly $250,000 to support undergraduate research conducted by its students. For more information, visit behrend.psu.edu.
