Lacy Smiesko Awarded Scholarship at Penn State Behrend

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, awarded Lacy Smiesko, from Sarver, a National Science Foundation STEM Scholarship and a Shirley L. Roth Trustee Scholarship. Smiesko is a freshman engineering major and graduate of Freeport Area Senior High School.

To date for the 2010-11 academic year, Penn State Behrend has awarded nearly 500 Penn State Behrend-specific scholarships, totaling $1.2 million. Penn State Behrend awards scholarships based on academic achievement, financial need, leadership abilities and for study abroad opportunities.
