Mark Medwid Presents Undergraduate Research

Mark Medwid, from Erie, presented an individual research project, titled "Faithful Blockings of Finite Groups and Pedagogical Applications," at the 20th annual Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Accomplishment Conference at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Medwid, a senior mathematics mjaor, earned an award for Best Oral Presentation in Mathematics and worked with Dr. Paul Becker, associate professor of mathematics.

Held every April, the conference is Penn State Behrend's signature undergraduate research event. Annually Penn State Behrend provides more than $250,000 to support undergraduate research conducted by its students. In total, 222 students from 11 colleges and universities in western Pennsylvania presented their research findings.
