Maurina Grandinetti Receives Penn State Funding for Spring Research

2014 Jan 15

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has awarded an undergraduate research grant to Maurina Grandinetti, a junior from Erie. Grandinetti's study, "A Collaborative Project Examining Aspects of Human-Animal Interactions Between Live and Virtual Training Scenario", will be supervised by Heather Lum.

Penn State Behrend awarded more than $60,000 in grant funding to 108 student researchers this semester. The college provides nearly $350,000 each year to support undergraduate research by its students.

Penn State Behrend is a comprehensive residential college with 4,350 students. The heart of the campus -- the former Glenhill Farm -- was donated by Mary Behrend, the widow of Ernst Behrend, who founded the Hammermill Paper Co. in Erie in 1898. For more information, visit behrend.psu.edu.
