Nicole Gardner Receives Penn State Funding for Summer Research

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has awarded a summer research fellowship to Nicole Gardner, of Ridgway. Gardner's study, "Substitution of RhII, MnII and CuII Metal Centers for Fe in Electrodeposited Ferriprotoporphyrin and their Applicability Towards NO Detection", will be supervised by Jason Bennett.

Penn State Behrend awarded 37 grants and more than $57,000 to student researchers this summer. The college provides nearly $350,000 each year to support undergraduate research by its students.
