Tanya Riston Presents Undergraduate Research

Tanya Riston, from Erie, presented an individual research project, titled "Optimal Forcing Location for Tree-Like Configurations of Coupled-Phase Oscillators," at the 20th annual Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Accomplishment Conference at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Riston, a junior mathematics mjaor, earned a runner-up award for an Oral Presentation in Mathematics and worked with Dr. Joseph Previte, associate professor of mathematics.

Held every April, the conference is Penn State Behrend's signature undergraduate research event. Annually Penn State Behrend provides more than $250,000 to support undergraduate research conducted by its students. In total, 222 students from 11 colleges and universities in western Pennsylvania presented their research findings.
