Teireik Williams Cast in Penn State Behrend Theater Production

2013 Mar 27

Teireik Williams, of Pittsburgh, has joined the cast of "Anatomy of Gray," the spring production of the Studio Theatre at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. The six-show run begins Friday, April 5.

"Anatomy of Gray" is a coming-of-age story that explores the intersections of science, faith, love, loss and hope. The playwright, Jim Leonard, set the piece in heartland America during the late 19th century.

"Jim tends to set his stories in bygone eras, but he brings a very modern sensibility to them," said David M. Vegh, who will direct the show. "This play, like Thornton Wilder's 'Our Town,' is very theatrical in a minimalist sort of way. The audience really gets to use its imagination, which to me is the magic of live theater."

Williams, a freshman studying in the division of undergraduate studies, is one of 14 cast members. Performances will be held in the Studio Theatre at Penn State Behrend, a comprehensive residential college with more than 4,600 students. For more information, visit behrend.psu.edu.
