Tyler Ewing Receives Penn State Funding for Summer Research

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has awarded a summer research fellowship to Tyler Ewing, of Fairmont. Ewing's study, "A Neural Network-Based Approach for an Optical Character Recognition System", will be supervised by Xiaocong Fan.

Penn State Behrend awarded 37 grants and more than $57,000 to student researchers this summer. The college provides nearly $350,000 each year to support undergraduate research by its students.
